Our service provides practical support and care for those relying on Christian Science for healing.
Our service is regulated and audited to uphold high standards of care. Accredited by The Commission for Accreditation of Christian Science Nursing Organizations/Facilities, Inc. and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as providing adult personal care.
We provide this service to anyone relying solely on Christian Science metaphysical treatment
Those who wish to use the service are required to be working with, or willing to engage the help of, a Christian Science practitioner listed in the current Christian Science Journal.
We provide practical care as individuals receive Christian Science treatment from a practitioner.
A team of Christian Science nurses across the whole of England
Our service has Christian Science nurses across England providing support to individuals in their homes. Delivered as a domiciliary care service, we provide temporary care and support in the home.
Our Christian Science Nursing Service and how it works
The practice of a Christian Science nurse is based on Christ Jesus’ two commandments – to love God and to love our neighbour (see Matthew 22: 37-39).
We are committed to providing skilled, professional care that meets an individual’s physical needs and is consistent with the theology of Christian Science. We ensure that those who use our service give their consent to the care we provide.
Financial support available
The Aid Fund for Christian Scientists in Need of Nursing Care can provide financial assistance with the cost of care. A Christian Science nurse can help you with an application.
The International Fund for Christian Science Nursing (IFCSN) is administered by The Principle Foundation (USA) and welcomes applications from the United Kingdom. You can see their website here.
